Other than power or heat the only other culprit could be a shoddy card, If possible test it on a friends computer running the same game/benchmarks if it does the same thing then you know it's not your pc, it's the card. If you have a modular PSU, try plugging the gpu cable/s into a different port on the PSU, Try bottom rail. What are your system temps, Seems like what you describe is possibly heat or power related,More likely power. The temps you are getting are more than fine they are fantastic and nothing to worry about!Īre you sure your power supplies (12v rails)is able to handle your system? Are you also overclocking cpu by any chance? I hope this helps other people out.Seems a bit weird, I run 2x980ti cards that are superclocked from factory, In Witcher 3 the temps get to 83-84c on auto fan and I have no crashes at all. I wanted to post this so that other people would be able to address this issue and not go through the headache I had to deal with. I forgot to mention when you close it out in your system tray make sure you open your task manager and close out EVGA Precision X Server. But come to find out it was EVGA Precision X 16 causing this strange behavior when using S1 V3.
Tech support did everything they could think of to help me resolve this issue. So for some strange reason it looks like the precision X was conflicting with S1 V3 GUI. Soon as I closed it the tracking line would run smooth. When it was open I encountered the lagging on the recordhead and also by opening effects or instrument box you would only see the frame of the specific instrument or effects. I would close it and open it and test by opening the guitar tuner or guitar rig 5. So there's a program that runs in the system tray called EVGA Precision X 16 which is associated with my GTX Titan video card.
